Monday and payday

It's Monday (evening) so I need to look at our schedule for the week. Tomorrow Mrs. Suzuki will come see how much our stove sucks. Wednesday is nothing. Thursday we'll be heading to Chiba to pick up money and Greg's work permission, then to Tokyo to see the Inoue family. Friday we hopefully get off work at 2 (like Thursday) and start the weekend. This weekend Greg is in Hakone at the AGM for the union. I will sit at home and eat crackers.

It's payday so I have to look at our bills and figure out what to send home. The exchange rate was 113.36 to the dollar when I checked this morning, the highest it's been in 6 months. I'm hoping it's going to drop to like 110.00 overnight. We may just get by by the skin of our teeth.

Stupid months like August will end when Greg gets his diploma. Nothing will make Mondays better.

Can't help you with the Monday deal. It never gets easier. There have been times when I was glad to get back to work after time off...was that when I had pre-schoolers at home?

Having loud/obnoxious/irritating children is kharmic revenge for being that way yourself when young. If you are telling me you were excited to go back to work when you had Greg and Kate at home I will tell you right now not to wait for grandchildren. Ask Kate. I like my sanity.

I'm just wondering where that weak dollar we've all been promised is. No matter how hard John Snow tries to talk the dollar down, the Japanese can always do him one better it seems.

oh, no way am I ready for grand- children. I have no expectations at this time in that area. Is that good news?? I just want you to be happy. Sorry I can't make you rich--and happy! MPM

I'm happy now! Please tell my mom to lay off on the grandkids.

I'll see if I can oblige. And I'm very glad you are happy! It goes a long way. MPM
