I once again managed to cook a 15lb bird inside my tiny Japanese oven. I was as surprised as anyone. We also had pumpkin soup, kabbocha risotto, mashed potatos, twice-baked potatos, dressing, green bean casserole, challah, and cornbread. I made two desserts, but nobody had room for pumpkin pie. Only the bread pudding went. My English friend Eddie looked like he wanted to just pick up the gravy boat and drink it. And his (Japanese) wife Mami easily managed to eat 3 times what I could. Very perplexing, considering that she's about the same size as the Misty Lane children.
Anyway, I'm exhausted (and I have to go to work - no long weekend here). More later.
update: Our friend Angie has a picture of the turkey here. She also had the energy to write more.

What a wonderful meal! I imagine your descriptions of it at work draw much interest. Can't wait to share the holiday kitchen with you 2 again in the US! Thanks to Angie for the photo! By the way, many T-giving guests in OR drove home in heavy rain. All day, it was very windy and rainy. Much love! MPM
Ah, as I sip my baileys and coffee I think of Thanksgiving '08 and how I can't wait. Your meal looked awesome. Can't wait to do some cooking together.

Well said, Robin. We must get them back to these shores. In addition to cooking with us, Greg and Samantha are hereby ordered to reserve a day every Memorial Day weekend and every T-giving day weekend to go winetasting with "the folks" and whoever else can accompany us.
Jim says hi! Love, MPM
Robin,
I can't wait to eat with you too. We can let Greg and Este cook while we "test" the eggnog. Good times.
Oh yes...we'll have to do lots of tasting while they do the cooking. :D
