Along with about 8 billion Japanese people, Kate and I walked on fire yesterday in Tokyo. It was surprisingly not hot, and afterwards the president of the temple (this is possibly a bad translation) prayed for me. The ceremony was kinda neat, and who doesn't like watching a ton of branches burst into flames? Plus, some old guy like burst into tears (of joy) when I had about a zillion of these crazy lotus shaped cards thrown at me by one of the priests. They are pretty sparkly gold so if you touch them it makes your hands look like you just crushed a fairy.
Our feet are blister free. I won't scan the cards.
We finished in Harajuku with cake-filled crepes.

I don't think you need to offer this fire walking activity to your next visitors. Sounds exciting, but....
